Reiki Center of District of Columbia, LLC (RCDC) is the Reiki/energy healing practice of Eric C. Fang, Certified Reiki Master/Teacher.  We provide healing touch sessions known as Reiki, pronounced as Ray-Key.  Usui Reiki System of Natural Healing is an ancient healing method that involves light laying on of hands, or hovering of hands above fully clothed body.   Universal [Rei]  Life Force [Ki, Qi, Chi, or Prana] is then transmitted to the client.   Our body is an amazing, complex machine that has its own body intelligence to heal itself.   Reiki facilitates our own body intelligence for natural healing by providing the essential life force energy.  Reiki heals not only the physical, but also heals the root cause of the problem, emotionality and mentality.

Reiki was rediscovered by a Japanese man, Dr. Mikao Usui, in the 1920s and later introduced by a Hawaiian born Japanese American Mrs. Hawayo Takata into the United States in 1937.   She was trained and initiated in Japan by Chujiro Hayashi.

Clients who received Reiki sessions reported the feeling of relaxation, a sense of peace, and often a reduction in pain and stress.  Some reported heat, tingling, and coolness sensation from the energy.

Reiki is in no way a replacement of the western medicine, psychological, diagnosis and treatment.   It is meant to compliment medical treatments.
